Over the past few Sundays we’ve been watching Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University videos at church. WOW! Here’s a quote Dave quotes often that has really stuck in my crawl.
“The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is a slave to the lender.”
Proverbs 22:7

3. Inspiration
Where do you get your inspiration for living? In some ways, what inspires us also determines who we are!
The Bible is quite possibly one of the most untapped sources of inspiration that I can think of. The word of God is alive. It is active! It is able to move. . . and to move us!
It inspires us to question what we see and hear. . .
“The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight.”
- 1 Corinthians 3:19
It inspires us to live with a purpose. . .
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
- Galatians 2:20a
It inspires us to live with compassionate cooperation. . .
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
- Ephesians 4:2
It inspires us to seek the living, loving God of the universe. . .
“I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.”
- Proverbs 8:17
The next time you need a little inspiration (or a lot!). I hope you’ll consider reading God’s word!

“If you don’t know where you are going, you will wind up some place else.”
- Yogi Berra
(Maybe I should apply this to my sermons on Sundays!)
